On May 20, Grand Rapids, Michigan–based Priority Health installed its new chief medical officer and senior vice president, Elif Oker, MD, who has more than 25 years of experience in health care executive leadership.
Grand Rapids, Michigan — Priority Health, the second largest health plan in Michigan, currently with more than 1.3 million members, has a new chief medical officer and senior vice president.
Elif Oker, MD, stepped into these roles on May 20, with more than 25 years of experience in health care executive leadership. Also a board-certified physician, Oker will take the helm of Priority Health's clinical and pharmacy programs and lead the development and coordination of its population health programs and chronic disease management strategies.

The news of Oker joining Priority Health comes on the heel's of last year's announcement of Rick Abbott as enior svice president of employer solutions.
