Can you share an overview of Camden Coalition's new skills lab training courses?
So, I'd say the skills lab is a game changer for anyone working in complex care. It is all about being quick and having practical learning at your fingertips. It's made up of 12 short microlessons; each are all under 10 minutes, and they are packed with really actionable strategies that you can use right away. Think role-play videos, on-the-go resources, a really flexible set up that lets you pick and choose what you need when you need it. And it's really accessible via a laptop, tablet, or phone. It's right at your fingertips for when you need it.
There are 8 topics addressed in 12 microlessons; can you elaborate on the structure of lessons and topics?
I guess it's important to highlight that the 12 microlessons are organized into 8 key topic areas and that some topics may have more than one microlesson tied to them. What it does is allow us to really explore critical aspects in greater depth for that specific topic. So, for example, authentic healing relationships are the cornerstone of complex care. We know that it's super instrumental in all that we do, so it's addressed through 3 separate microlessons, each focusing on an essential element of that concept.
I'll just talk a little bit about the authentic relationships microlessons, which I mentioned are 3, right? We have the first one: building secure relationships. And that lesson really focuses on creating a sense of trust and safety, which we all know is really essential for meaningful patient interactions. And then the second microlesson is building genuine relationships and learners dive into how to connect with patients in a way that's honest, that's empathetic, and that's really grounded in authenticity. And then, the third microlesson that we are tying to that authentic healing relationships theme or topic, is building consistent relationships. And that microlesson really emphasizes reliability and follow through as a critical component in fostering trust over time.
