The study, “Demographic Disparities in Video Visit Telemetry: Understanding Telemedicine Utilization,” found significant demographic disparities when it came to failed video visit occurrence, specifically in older adults and African American/Black patients.
An article from Becker’s ASC Review referenced an article published on AJMC.com, the website of AJMC. The article, “Disasters Likely Cause Delays in Early Colorectal Cancer Diagnosis,” reported on results published in Cancer that found that late-stage diagnoses surged due to delayed access to screenings in Puerto Rico during Hurricane Irma, Hurricane Maria, and the COVID-19 pandemic.

The article from AJMC reported on findings that determined that a dietary fiber intake between 14.4 g and 26.7 g reduced the risk of osteoarthritis.
