Addressing Health Equity and Social Needs

Video

The Enhancing Oncology Model (EOM) asks participating practices to track data on social determinants of health, and as moderator Stuart Staggs, MSIE, of The US Oncology Network stated, "As you know more things you want to do more things." Kashyap Patel, MD, described an initiative he launched at his practice, Carolina Blood and Cancer Care Associates. Stephen Schleicher, MD, MBA, chief medical officer, Tennessee Oncology, said the process will formalize existing structures.
