Robin Henderson, PsyD, always thought the mind and body were connected, but now it finally seems as if the rest of the healthcare industry has caught up.
At the US News Hospital of Tomorrow conference in Washington, DC, Dr Henderson explained that they know people with diabetes develop depression and heart attack survivors develop anxiety disorders.
“…from a population health standpoint, it’s been really interesting to look at the data, especially as it relates to chronic illness,” she said.
