An article in Medical Economics® referenced a study published in the March 2022 issue of The American Journal of Managed Care®(AJMC®). The study, “Small Practice Participation and Performance in Medicare Accountable Care Organizations,” found that Medicare beneficiaries who were attributed to small practices in accountable care organizations had more savings compared with beneficiaries attributed to large practices.
An article by Chief Healthcare Executive® referenced a video interview published on AJMC.com, the website of AJMC. The video, “Dr Dennis Scanlon: IRA Drug Price Negotiation Provision a Step in the Right Direction,” featured Dennis Scanlon, PhD, speaking about how it will take time for all to understand the full effect of the provision in the Inflation Reduction Act that allows Medicare to negotiate drug prices with companies.
